The Great Escape

FAQs

  1. Phone coverage & ATMs

There will be ATMs on site, open from 10am until 11pm daily. There is mobile phone coverage at the Armory, but no payphones. Punters will be able to charge their mobile phones at the information booth. Bring your charger!

  2. First aid & security

Big crowds are no place to be if you’re under the influence of mind-altering substances of any kind, including alcohol. Please don’t be scared to ask festival staff or St John’s Ambulance officers for help. Please consider others as well as your own safety, especially in front of the stages. If someone falls down or is in distress please help them if you can, or let the Security know so we can help. Forget trying to sneak in: the Armory has permanent, high fencing. No stage diving, crowd surfing or moshing. Moshers risk being ejected from the festival grounds. In the extreme and unlikely circumstance that an area of the Armory may be required to be evacuated or cleared, it’s imperative you to follow all instructions from emergency services, police, the fire brigade and/or our security.

  3. Bringing kids?

Children 15 and under get free entry into the festival with a paying parent or guardian – if you look like you might be 16, you’ll need to bring ID (a passport, birth certificate) to prove your age.
